My 2nd great grandfather, John Keane, arrived from Ireland on the 27th of October, 1848. On his application for naturalization (attached), he listed his birthplace as Glinske Galway, Ireland. He married Anne Fury (Furey) 1832 - 1915, after his arrival. She was also born in Ireland.
I will be visiting Ireland for the first time in May 2019. Unfortunately, I will be spending only a few days, primarily in Dublin, but with one day each in Belfast and Cork.
If I could get some advice on where there might be records to research in one or more of those three cities, I would most appreciate it.
Thank you.

Dear Lucy:
Many thanks for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board. We have local volunteers in Glinsk and I am going to forward your post to them. They have done a lot of work in the area and they will be able to assist further. Please give them about 2 weeks to reply.
Kind regards,
Jane

Hi Lucy:
I have sent a message to someone in that area who is a local historian. When I hear back from him, I will let you know.
All the best,
Jane
