Looking for information about John Tobin of Limerick parish, born abt 1843, enlisted in the 8th Hussards in 1863 and lived the rest of his life in various places in England. Married Sarah Ann Ludford in 1867. Their marriage certificate says his father's name is John Tobin, profession: bricklayer.
That's not much to go on since John Tobin is a pretty common name. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I had responded to this message earlier today that was also looking for info on John's daughter Ellen who was born in 1873. Response must not have updated.
In any event, Roots Ireland has two John Tobin baptismal records in Co. Limerick around 1845 with father John. See transcriptions below. Do you know his mother's name to confirm either of these two records.

My apologies. I deleted the first post by mistake (my first time on this site). Thank you for your re-reply.
Unfortunately I do not have a mother's name. John Jr. and Sarah didn't call any of their children either Johanna or Hanora, which might have been an indication. Their daughters were Ellen (Nellie), Harriet Helena, Louisa, Catherine (Katie), and Madeline.
I think I've found Ellen in the GRO Regimental Records (British Nationals Armed Forces Births 1761-2005) on findmypast.com
Ellen E. Tobin, born Newbridge, Co. Kildare, 1872, 8th Hussars (268 10 and 267 51). Newbridge was appartently the site of one of the barrack on the Curragh.
