Kearns & McCabe

Amanda:

The family should have been in the Cootehill registration district if they were from the parish of Aghabog. I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie from 1885-1915 and did not see a civil marriage record for any of the three Kearns sisters. Do you have the marriage records for Sarah and Julia and could you share thr records?

Both Julia & Sarah's marriages are in the Monaghan district.
Julia got married on 11/11/1906 & Sarah on 26/1/1905.
I know Patrick McCabe made his money in America and purchased a property on Market St Cootehill. Him & Mary are on the 1901 census living there, with their 1st child Mary.
I'm thinking now that maybe they married in America, but my research on this has also drawn a blank

The 1911 census says Patrick & Mary had been married 12 years, so c 1899. Daughter Mary was born 27th Sept 1899, so that points to late 1898/early 1899.
