Noel:
The RC baptismal records for Doon parish start in 1824 so a baptismal record for Laurence and Bridget would not be available. Marriage records for Doon start in 1839 and I assume they married pre-1839 since I did not find a record.
The 1850 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Doon civil parish showed three Laurence/Lawrence Ryan records. I assume your Laurence was one of the three listed. https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/limerick/doon.htm

I knew about the 1824 and 1839 parish records start dates that make finding out about Laurence and Bridget effectively impossible. Ha! Welcome to all my other early Irish ancestors too in Cork, Kilkenny, Wexford, ... - I am able to get to all my ggg-grandparents, so that's pretty good for Ireland I suspect, but information on my gggg-grandparents is hard to find.
The real problem I was trying to solve was the mothers of Laurence and Bridget. Their death certificates here in Qld show Winifred Fitzgerald as the mother for both (Laurence = Partick Ryan & Winifred Fitzgerald; Bridget = Patrick Welsh & Winifred Fitzgerald). I imagine there were numerous Winifred Fitzgeralds in Limerick around the late 1700s, so it is possible that there were two Winifreds but the coincidence is a bit mystifying.
BTW, the Laurence Ryan in the Griffith records is highly likely to be the one from Kilmoylan Upper.
Thanks for your interest.

Hi Noel
we have been trying to find gggfather Anthony Ryan (1819-1915) who migrated to Maryborough Qld with his wife Mary Rose (Duffy) Ryan and children including ggfather Michael in 1865. We have traced a likely connection to James Ryan (1839-1920) married to Elizabeth Madden in Queensland Australia 1865. James Ryan's mother was Bridget Walsh spouse of Lawrence Ryan from Doon Ireland (see BDM Qld). Bridget (Walsh) Ryan died in Ipswich Qld 1886. Still trying to fill in the missing bits.
