Can you tell us more about the family? Did anyone emigrate from Ireland?

I located a civil marriage record in 1879 for a Richard Lombard. His father was Richard who was deceased. Richard Jr. married Hannah Darker. See link below. Richard and Hannah had two children Catherine in 1880 and Sarah Teresa in 1882. Richard Jr. was a shopkeeper in Mallow town.

My great great grandfather Patrick Lombard immigrated to New York about 1867 (where he changed his name to Lambert, his son changed his name back to Lombard when he was an adult).  He married a Honora Roach (or possibly Roche) but I cannot find their marriage certificate in US or Ireland.  All I know about her is that her father was Patrick and was told she was from around Waterford.  One of Patrick's baptisimal sponsors was a Honora Roche so I am thinking that the families knew each other in Ireland.

His sister Bridget (married name Sweeney) immigrated to New York too.  I cannot find her baptisimal but found them for the other siblings listed. I found her death certificated with family papers and her parents are listed as Richard Lombard and Mary Lowe. Patrick's death certificate lists father as Richard but no mother, so I have to assume they were siblings.

Any help you can give me will be very much appreciated!  The information you already shared is fantastic!

Correction for above - Bridget Lombard Sweeney's mother was Catherine Lowe not Mary Lowe.

I did not find a marriage record for Patrick Lombard and Honora Roche. In fact, I did not find any other marriage records for the children you listed.

The 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Cork showed a Richard Lombard living on Main St. in Castletownroche. Possibly he was your ancestor who married Catherine Lowe.
