Hello!
I am planning my first ever, trip to Ireland in July 2020. I plan to spend 4-5 days in the two areas my great grandparents lived before emigrating to Chicago, Illinois USA in the 1890’s. GGrandmother is Annie Gallagher born in July 1871 in Attymass. My GGrandfather is John Curran born in 1864 in Ballinrobe. I would love any suggestions of starting points for doing genealogy research in those two area. Also looking for suggestions of a good area to set up as a base camp between the two towns. Looking for a nice town that may have an Inn or B&B with some pubs, stores etc. i might also consider an Airbnb. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!
