Hello,

My name is Jack Conlin from the United States, and I am researching my family tree in County Sligo and have traced it back to the Conlon family in Laragh, Skreen. My most recent Irish ancestor is Timothy J. Conlin, who in 1857 lived in Laragh with his father James and his brother Thomas before emigrating to the United States. His wife was also Annie Conlin (née Conlin) from Easky, whose sister Jennie married Thomas Conlin.

I am reaching out to inquire if there are still Conlons in the parish in or around Skreen, as I have found several newspaper clippings and obituaries citing Conlons still in Laragh. In 1980, it appears there was a John Theodore (Theo) Conlon who passed away and was mourned at Skreen Church before being laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetary. In 1989, Catherine Conlon passed and was mourned and buried at the same loctaions. The article mentions they were survived by many family members, including children and grandchildren.

We are planning a trip with my grandfather for next year, and he very much would like to meet any Conlon relatives if possible, as would I! If you know any Conlons still in the Skreen/Dromore West/Laragh area, please reach out to me at jackconlin13@gmail.com or +1 (978) 810-0661. Thank you very much and I hope this works out!
