My Gr Gr Grandfather Patrick KENNEDY b 1809 in Ballinderry, Co Tipp south left Ireland around 1850 to settle in Rotherham, Yorkshire, England. With him he brought his wife Margaret (O'CONNORS) b 1816 and their 4 sons - Patrick b 1838 in Ballingarry, Sylvester b 1842 in Ballingarry, John b 1845 in Ballinderry and my Gr Grandfather Michael b 1849 in Ballinderry.
Patrick senior's parents were John KENNEDY b 1779 Caher (I believe) and Margaret O'DWYER b c1783 in Tipp Co. John had 2 brothers that I know of - William b c1777 who married Winifred MURPHY, and Thomas b c1761 who married Mary MURPHY.
Patrick b 1809 had 4 siblings - Ellen b c1807, Mary b 1806, Timothy b 1808, and John b1813.
I am also trying to trace a researcher of the above William who I believe lives in the USA - Ann McCoy. Would be grateful to hear from anyone who has contact details for her.
My email address is jaymet@btinternet.com Apologies for the long post

Hi,
I've just joined as Parish Liaison for Ballingarry but I'm for Ballingary Slieveardagh Tipperary South and I think the one you need is the Balingarry Ormond which is in North Tipperary and has a townland called Ballinderry. I don't know if anybody has replied to you before now.
I don't know if there is a liaison for that area - it seems to be close to Borrisokane so maybe the liaison for that parish could help you.
Regards,
Noreen

Many thanks for your reply. You're quite right - I did research the 'wrong' Ballingarry and Ballinderry for a couple of years before I realised my mistake at the end of last year! I'm researching North Tipp now, just don't know how to remove the wrong parishes from my list. Any help to do that is very welcome. June
