I am looking for my grandfathers' father William Mcilwee Scott; His mother was Eliza Mcilwee and on his birth certificate, no father is listed. On the 1901 census, it lists his sister and himself with "head" as Eliza Mcilwee as grandmother. (and yes his grandmother was Eliza Mcdonald Mcilwee), yet in 1911, a Lena Mcilwee is listed as grandmother. I have no idea about this name and cannot find anything anywhere. yet still no mention of his father...can anyone help?

. Thank you Miriam! William was married in Ireland in 1913 to my grandmother susan Harland. I couldn’t find anything with regard to his father on his marriage certificate. Also a dead end in researching his sister Alice’s line . I do think I found a Eliza’s parents and her grandparents at least that’s how I see it in ancestry.com. It appears at the Irish don’t go far outside the box and naming their children, as evidenced by me as my name is susan scott both my grandmothers were susan LOL. thank you!
