Hello
looking for information on my great grandmother Catherine Corrigan. Born 1857-1861 Roscommon. The age and place info is taken from the England census. She was married in 1875 in Bolton Lancashire England. I have her marriage certificate which states her fathers name as John Corrigan. John is noted as a labourer. Not sure if this is significant but there is a note on the certificate that’s states - described on the certificate as Catherine Carrigan.
I have lots of information about Catherine once she is in England. However I would like to know more about the family in Ireland.
I have my DNA and tree on Ancestry.
looking forward to any available information
thank you in advance.
Karen

Here are transcriptions from Roots Ireland for two baptismal records for Catherine Corrigans in Roscommon, daughters of John, 1856 and 1858. Perhaps one of these is your Catherine.

County Co. Roscommon

Do you know the names of any of her siblings? If we can find their baptisms, we might identify Catherine's parents.

Thank you very much for this new information and responding so quickly.
I do not know definitively her siblings names. However I have a DNA match on ancestry that leads me to a possible John Corrigan born 1865 in Frenchpark Roscommon.
Also a family name that repeats is Mary. Catherine’s first born daughter was Mary.
not much to go on.
I really appreciate your help.Cheers
