My G-G-Grandfather was Dennis James Foley, baptized March 25, 1832 in Ballyclough. Parents were James Foley and Ellen Keefe. Siblings found in baptismal register are John (1825), Daniel (1827), Mary (1829), Cornelius (1837), Cornelius (1839). In 1851, Dennis emigrated to the United States on the Ship Breadalbane from Liverpool, England to New York City, arriving on June 12, 1851. Also on that ship were Daniel Foley, age 22 and Michael Foley, age 25.
Griffiths valuation for Parish Ballyclough was done in 1852 and shows both a James Foley and a Mary Foley as heads of households in the townland of Gearanaskagh, on an estate owned by Richard Longfield called Waterloo.
Curious if anyone knows of additional sources beyond baptismal register and griffiths to help build out the family story, including any potential family still in the area.

In 1831 in the parish of Ballyclogh, there were three Foleys listed in the Tithe Applotment books:

Hello Tim,
In addition to Griffith's and baptismal records, why not look at church marriage and death records (on free site irishgenelogy.ie and on paid site rootsireland.ie)?
And if 1864 or later, you might look at civil birth, marriage, and death records (free on irishgenealogy.ie).
Other sources you might look at include 1901 and 1911 Irish censuses, wills, headstones, cemetery records, and newspaper articles and obituaries.

Reach out to Irish genealogical societies or family history groups that may have knowledge or resources specific to the Foley family in Ballyclough.
