Looking for my Redmond branch

Hi there, I'm looking for the parents of an Owen Eugene Redmond who was born around 1786 in Ireland. He married Ann Flahavan/Flavin there, had several children and then moved to Canada.
Thank you for any help you can give me and I hope you're all healthy and safe during this trying time.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The subscription site Roots Ireland had the marriage record and one baptismal record for a child. See below. I did not find a baptismal record for Owen or Ann.

  • Dear Roger, Thank you kindly for taking the time to look that info up and for getting back to me  Ironically, my Mom's name is Margaret Redmond and she told me she was named after her paternal Grandmother. I will pop her info into my tree.

    All the best,

  • Hi PeppermintCarol:

You might be interested in the Redmond Clan gatheringwebsite.  Their Clan gathering took place last year, but I'm sure that they would be delighted to hear from you.    There is a link which I'm going to share with you about making contact with either Aidan or Cecelia.  You might be interested in  joining them and it may further your research.

Aidan is based in Wexford and he will have a lot of good local knowledge for you.

You might also consider creating an Ancestor Profile for one of your Redmonds.

    The link is here:

These profiles are widely read by our members and there may be others who are researching the same family.

If you have any difficulties, please let me know and I will assist you.  My email address is:

The very best of luck with your research.

    Kind regards,
