Hi, I'm still searching and trying to connect with some Wade families. I'm expecting that people in Ireland are also trying to see where those Wade's ancestrors went. I hope hope to reconnect with them.

So if someone is looking for a Michael Wade who was married with Margaret Walsh arround 1830-34 and take a Lumber boat to Canada arround the same time. We're going to have a match! Is wife, Margaret Walsh seems to have a sister named Bridget Walsh. That could help. They arrived in New-Brunswick in the Miramichi area and went north-east to settled in Pokemouche.

Our family says that our first ancestor possibly came from Kilarney or Kilkenney. I've found a marriage between a Michael Wade and a Margaret Walsh at the Church of Assumption in Templeorum, April, 10th 1834. But no proof that they are the right one.

So if someone can help me to get in touched with any Wade... I'll be very happy

Thank you very much and spread the word.

A lot of research was done by Col back in October on this family.  https://irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/message-board/michael-wade-and-margaret-walsh

    Dboy:

You indicated that some family members had taken a DNA test. Did anyone take an Ancestry DNA test which points to Kilkenny?

  • Hi,

I know about the reseacrhes that Col did for me. It was great to have is support. But i'm in a dead end.

So thats why i'm hoping to find Wade's in Ireland that have their family tree ending with a Micheal Wade or Margaret Walsh and try to connect with them.

I guess its will be my only chance.
