Hello, I am trying to find my seventh great grandfather. The details I have on him are pretty sparse so hopefully someone can help me. His name is James Devine and was born in 1796 in Ireland. He Married Mary Clarke and she was born in 1788 and died in 1872 in Newry Armagh. They both had a son Samuel Devine, who was born in 1811 in Armagh and Died in 1888 in Glasgow. Samuel Married Helen (Eleanor) McInally who was born in Armagh. My Grandfather died in 1877 in Dundalk, Louth. If anyone can assist in finding my grandfather birth, marriage or any other details I would be truly appreciated.

  • Hi Rob

Unfortunately the baptism records for Newry start around 1835, do you know what denomination the family was?

  • Hi Mallow, I assume she is RC as most of the family line is RC. I got the death certificate wich gives her DOD as 4 April 1872 at Corcrum at age 94 years. With a witness as William Clarke as informant, her occupation is noted as Farmers Widow.
