I am searching for information on John Maher(Orchard) and Mary Delahunty who were married 19 Feb 1827 in Templemore.At the time of her marriage Mary came from Clonmore.
They had 9 children Mary born 1828 ,Bridget born 1829,Margaret born 1831,John born 1833,Michael born 1834,Bridget born 1837,Thomas born 1839,James born 1841 and Judith born 1845.All children born in Shanakill
I dont know when or where John and Mary died nor do I have any information on the children other than John as he is my GG Grandfather and came to Australia in 1863. Family stories have that Johns parents died young and he was cared for by an Aunt. Who this was I do not know.
Can anyone assist with any information that may expand on my research such as parents of John and Mary and any siblings they had and any details on the children

Hi Greg, did you get any undates since you posted? There are Mahers still living in The Orchard today. Can you contact them? The Delahunty has mostly dispersed since the 1800's.
