Hi, my name is john Hendy, I've found out my 4x great grandfather was born in Dangan county Meath, his name was Lawrence Malone born in 1810, and served in the army on the island of St Helena, when he left the army he and his family settled in London, He died in the Chelsea Pensioners Hospital in 1883 and is buried in West Brompton Cemetery, are there any Malones still living in that area of Meath, thanks,..

John:
Dangan is a large townland (over 900 acres) in Laracor civil parish which is in southern Co. Meath.
The 1853 Griffiths Valuation for Laracor civil parish shows four Malone records although none in Dangan (see first link).
The 1901 census for Dangan townland only had one person with the surname Malone. He was Michael Malone a shepherd (see second link).
