I've done so much research on my own but I've hit a huge wall and cannot find additional information regarding family history in County Mayo, Crossmolina Parish!

Looking for Catherine "Kitty/Ketty" McAndrew married to John Broderick in 1855 in Crossmolina, County Mayo. I know of six children they had:
My great-great grandfather Daniel M Broderick, married Julia Riordan and resided in Abbeyfeale, born in 1865
John Broderick born 1871
Catherine Broderick born 1873
Bridget Broderick born 1876
Michael Broderick born 1878
Ann Broderick born 1883
all children were registered and listed as living in Eskragh, County Mayo.

If anyone has suggestions or any information to help me in my search it would be greatly appreciated! I'm planning a trip to Ireland in the next year and I want to find out as much info before I go!

  • I thought it unusual that the couple married in 1855 but had no children for ten years. RootsIreland shows that there were at least three children in this time period, as follows:

Church Baptism Broderick Hugh 1857 Co. Mayo
Church Baptism Broderick Alice 1860 Co. Mayo
Church Baptism Broderick Margaret 1862 Co. Mayo

  • Hi Patricia,

I also thought that was interesting as that was not common during that time. Can you confirm John and Catherine being listed as the parents on the baptismal records?

    Thanks for your help!
