Hi

Can anyone help with any details of a marriage between Michael McDermott of Pollymount and a Magan please? Early 1800s. I'm messaging Cloonfinlough as I see the Magans are registered there on the Tithe records.

Michael is on the Tithes at Pollymount with Martin and Thomas, though how they were related I don't know. Martin is my ancestor.

This Michael was also supposed to have an uncle who was a priest.

    I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and the only Magan/McDermott marriage was on April 17 1825 in Boyle RC parish between Patrick McDermott and Mary Magan. The records for people in Cloonfindlough civil parish would be part of Strokestown RC parish and their records start in 1830.

    I also searched for McDermott baptismal records with a mother with the maiden name of Magan and got no record.
