I believe my 3rd great grandfather was James McEvoy, born in 1782 to Michael and Catherine McEvoy from Kilberry. I see his baptism on 7 May, 1782 in Athy records but I could not make out the town or word after the parents names. I was hoping someone could tell me Catherine’s maiden name. My wife and I will travel to the Athy/Kilberry area on October 25th and 26th of this year. It would be our privilege if we could meet anyone from Ireland XO to give us some direction and advise.
