I think I have traced my great great grandfather ro Leitrim. Miles McGrath was born in 1844 and imigated to the US in 1855. I feel sure he was married to Margaret Granahan. I think she went by Maggie

Do you know if the marriage was held in Ireland or America? Based on your message, it appears that he was 11 when he left Ireland so I guess America is the answer to my question.
I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for Co. Leitrim and was unable to locate a baptismal record or a marriage record for Miles McGrath.
