Information found on Ancestry

Per the 1870 census Daniel was born about 1835. The family went to America around 1839. Ann and Daniel's oldest daughter Margaret was born in1868. I have not found a marriage record, but they would have probably been married in Wisconsin.

Daniel McGraw (1839-1906) - Find a Grave Memorial

In addition to an article posted on Find A Grave, the following was written. Note his stepbrothers' names-

His last name is listed as McGrath on his death certificate but his father's name listed is McGraw

Son of Daniel McGraw & Ann Hurley - both born Ireland; his wife was Anna (b~1845 Ireland)

Daniel McGraw's stepbrothers are Jerry Donovan 1833-1910 #87298676 and William Donovan 1836-1885 #237219278.

Note on the Find A Grave obit, Daniel's stepfather's name is Thomas Donovan.

I searched on the free site irishgenealogy.ie (Church records) and found a February 20 1838 marriage between a Daniel Magra and a Mary Donovan in Schull West RC parish. The church records for this parish show the surname as either McGrath or Magra.

I looked for children of Daniel Magra and Mary Donovan and found four: Mary 1840 James 1842 Narry 1843 John 1845. This may be a different couple since Mary's research indicates the family left Ireland around 1839. Also, we don't know for sure if young Daniel's father was also named Daniel.

On the free site Irishgenealogy, under Church records, there are two Daniels listed born in Shull.

Daniel Mcgrath born in 1830 to Michael McGrath and Margaret Murray.

Daniel McGra born in 1835 to Denis McGraw and Julia Driscoll. There is a record for a Denis McGra born in 1813 in Shull to Tim McGra and Mary Driscoll.
