Hello, I've been researching my family and my search has lead me here. I'm looking for any information in regards to my ancestors from Sligo. My second great Grandfather, Andrew McIntyre/M'Entyre, was born in Sligo in/around 1855. He married Bridget McVann (born Aug 26, 1864 in Cloonacool) in Sept 1882 in Tobercurry, had a son also named Andrew McIntyre in 1884 and passed away in Sligo in 1885. I've been unable to find any additional information about him or his parents or any information that takes me farther back in time. Bridget and her son, Andrew, eventually made their way to the US and settled in Chicago, IL where she remarried to William Meredith and had five additional children.
Any information anyone may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The civil marriage record for Andrew and Bridget is here https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_re…; The record shows the names of the fathers of the bride and groom--Patt Intyre and Thomas McEvan. The McIntyres lived in Leitrim North townland and the McEvans were from Kilcummin townland borh in the civil parish of Achonry. The RC records for Cloonacool (Tobercurry) parish start in the fall of 1859 so you won't find a baptismal record for Andrew McIntyre.
