Greetings from New Zealand, I am trying to trace my McNamara family line and have been at a brick wall for the last 10 years. I have a John McNamara, born about 1834, allegedly from Broadford, Clare. The following message is inscribed on his grave stone: "Sacred to the memory of John McNamara Native of County Clare Broadford Ireland". John is believed to have emigrated to Australia sometime in the 1850/60's. His parents are alleged to be a John McNamara (born about 1800) and Margaret McMahon; it is not thought that his parents emigrated with him to Australia. His siblings are thought to be Catherine, Patrick (emigrated and died on the voyage), James (Emigrated with John), and Bridget. John Jr passed away in 1899 in Tamworth, New South Wales. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aron,
Please see attached. You may have them already. Broadford came under a number of parish names in that period, so the village was the defining place.
Church record are from 1844 - catholicparishregisters@nli.ie National Library to access.
You may be able to get further information from death records of John's siblings.

McCoy
