I am searching for information on my great-great grandfather Michael Farrell, husband of Catherine Pettit. He is the father of Phillip Farrell born in Namestown, County Wexford around 1857.

I assume you meant Jamestown instead of Namestown? There are two Jamestown townlands in Co. Wexford. One in Edermine civil parish and the other in Templescoby civil parish.
I searched on two different subscription sites-- Roots Ireland and FindMyPast and was unable to locate the marriage record or a baptismal record for Philip Farrell.
Do you have any other information on your family. Did Michael and Catherine stay in Ireland or emigrate?

Roger,
I have attached the baptismal record for Phillip Farrell, son of Michael Farrell and Catherine
Pettit.
Since I am only able to include one file at a time I will send a separate reply with the marriage
record of Michael and Catherine.
Thank you, in advance, for your assistance!

Catherine emigrated with her son, Phillip Farrell, my great-grandfather. I will include the first

Roger,
I have attached the 1900 US Census record for Phillip Farrell (see line 71).
Catherine emigrated with her son, Phillip Farrell, in 1875. It also includes information
that Catherine had 4 children all who were living in 1900. I have only been able
to find information in US Census records for Phillip and Anna. I do have baptismal
records for the other two children Martin and Mary. However, that is the only information
I have for them.
Perhaps for some reason, Catherine made the decision to emigrate with Phillip without
Mary and Martin. Another daughter, Anna, also emigrated.
Thank you,
Cathy Ulm

Roger,
I have attached the baptismal record for Mary, daughter of Michael Farrell and Catherine
Pettit, born in 1866. I find it interesting that Catherine emigrated when Mary was 9 years old and Martin was 16 years old.
Thank you,

Hi Cathy!
As background, civil registration began in 1864 for birth marriages and death although no Catholic marriages were registered starting 1845. The Farrells were within the Wexford registration distrcit.
One of our expert volunteers, Shane Wilson, found the same marriage record that you have and he indicated that FindMyPast and Ancestry had transcribed the surname Farrell as Janelle. When I look at the record you provided, I can see how they got Janelle but I also can see Farrell.
Shane indicated that the Farrells lived in two townlands (Grange and Sarshill) to the southwest and adjacent to Kilmore town.
I searched for a Michael Farrell death record in the Wexford registration district but did not find a record. Possibly he died before or 1864 or if he died after 1863, the death was not registered.
I tried to find a baptismal record for Catherine Pettit but did not find a good record. I did find a record in 1811 in Kilmore RC parish with father Thomas and mother Anastasia Stafford but that record appears to be too early since she would have been 40 when married and close to 50 when she had Martin. I did not find a good baptismal record for Michael Farrell in Kilmore parish.
I looked for Martin Farrell in the 1901 census in Co. Wexford but there were only two records and neither was close to 40 in age.
Let me know if you have questions.
