Michael J Driscoll went to America via Quebec. He was in Monteal County Canada in 1851 census. In 1860 he was living in Lisbon, St Lawrence County NY with his family. By 1880 he is living in Jackson County Iowa, where he died in 1881. His headstone says "native of County Cork."
He married most likely in Quebec or New York. Spouse Anna (Nancy) Cotter of Co Cork, I believe Cobh Parish; there is a baptism record for Anna 4 Dec 1831, daughter of Richard Cotter and Mary Driscoll. Siblings are John, Frances, Richard, James, William and Joseph. No concrete proof that this is the correct family, but siblings names are used in the family in America.
children all b in New York, probably St Lawrence County: Daniel b 1848, Mary Dorothy b Oct 1849, Ellen b 1853, Anna b Aug 1859, Alice b Mar 1860, Michael b 1866.
Are there other Driscolls out there who might have more information? Thanks!
