Michael Kearns was born in Dublin in 1810 and transported to Australia aboard the Phoenix III. He arrived in Sydney on 25 December 1826.
Seeking any family members and additional information.

    Ann,

    Attached is a copy of his certificate of Freedom in 1834. It gives a good physical description of him. Do you have any knowledge of who his parents were?

    Thank you so much.

    Unfortunately no. After arriving in the colony  he got into a bit of bother and did more than seven  years on Norfolk Island which was an absolute hell hole. He married Honorah McCann in 1846 and they had either 8 or 10 children.  He died, aged 80, in Sydney in1891.
