The best guess from this side of the pond is that William Hancock, and probably his son, along with a brother or two came to the colonies in the semi-famous 5 ship formation that landed in Boston in 1718 or 1719. He settled in what is Londonderry, New Hampshire and he died around 1747.
Anything we can discover about this family would be of great assistance.
