Hello, I am Joanne Halpin-Morelli, my grandmother was Mary Ellen Murnane daughter of Thomas Murnane and Margaret Kiely. Mary Ellen came to the US in November 1908 as a young girl and went to Troy, NY to live with an aunt(?). Attached is a picture I have of her family in Ireland, the note on the back of the pictures says " From left: Lorn, Angela Mother, Mrs. Foley Lily and Mrs Revill - Nan and Fr. Theodore in front. Feb 1950" I know some of the Murnane's are still in Ireland, if anyone has any information I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

I did find some records which may be of interest: the 1896 marriage record for Thomas and Margaret, the 1897 civil birth record for Mary Ellen, the 1901 and 1911 censuses records for the Murnane family in Limerick city and finally the 1961 death record for Margaret Murnane which shows an address for her son who was the informant. By the way, the marriage records shows the names of the fathers of the bride and groom.
