My ggg grandparents emigrated in 1847 from Loughrea and settled in Wisconsin. Laurence was born in 1780 and Cecily in 1800 in County Galway. They were married in 1830 in Kileenadema. But prior history is vague as records were distroyed in a Church fire and the diocese doesn't have copies. I believe that the family may have emigrated from England in the mid 17th century as the name appears on the Cromwell 49.
