We are looking for connections to and/or history of our O'Sullivan clan in the Macroon area, who were evicted by the Massey family from an area currently known as Masseytown in the earlier 1800s. Our Irish family history also contends there was some sort of chieftain family connection (?) (this also checks out through more recent Y-DNA testing in FamilyTreeDNA) (possibly related to the O'Sullivan Beare line?). Florence O'Sullivan (my 2nd great grandfather, born (?) c. 1806) is the last known contact from there; siblings/parents/and possible remaining relatives from that area unknown. Florence moved to Fermoy sometime after the Massey family eviction and settled there (our documentation since that time are good). Any help from the Ireland XO Macroom group on pre 1825 would be greatly appreciated - this is a "brick wall' going back for ancestry connections for us at the present time. Thank you so, so much.
PS - We do hope to visit there sometime next year, as well.
