Galmoy is an RC parish, village and barony. Generally, our parishes are arranged by civil parish and Galmoy is in Erke civil parish.

Hi,

Michael Travers was born in Galmoy, Co. Kilkenney in 1822--per what he wrote in our family Bible. He died in Minnesota, USA in 1860.

In 2016 an elderly woman in Galmoy told me she knew of an older Mr. Travers in the area when she was young.

Does anyone know of any Travers persons who were in/near Galmoy?

I did check the 1911 census and possibly one of these individuals was the elderly Mr. Travers.
