Not sure if my first message when thru - sending another.

Looking for information on the first Maloney descendant.

The names was changed over the years... Mayonnet, Mayonne, Mayloney, Melony, Maloney.

Our first descent that we know about is Joseph Mayonnet (all relatives from Hochstadt?) married Catherine Westcamp.

Their son Michael Mayonne born 1750 married Josette Vinet in 1796 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

They had 8 children - we are descendants from Antoine born June 13 1803 and died December 25 1877.

My mother Roberta Maloney always said she was "Irish"!  My sisters and I are coming to Dublin in August 2013.  Any information you can find would be appreciated.

Thank you

Francoise Stewart

  • I have an ancestral map of Ireland. It looks like they were in County
Clare. In the western part is Tullagh and it looks like those ancestors
Were Chieftans in the southern part of that area. Maybe see what
Parish is in that area and go from there. It might help you just a
    A little bit.
