Parkers at Clonbrook

I also believe my ggggrandfather Edward Dooley (and his daughter Mary)  may have been employed by the Dillon Family at Clonbrock estate.  I haven't been able to prove or disprove this theory.  I believe Edward may have worked as a whitesmith.  Perhaps the following advice sent to me may be of help to you. 

It was suggested we hire a researcher to go through the 'Clonbrock Papers', which has records of employees and servants from the estate.  Apparently an extensive collection of estate papers survives for the Clonbrock estate and this collection is now located in the National Library of Ireland.  The catalogue can be accessed on line http://www.nli.ie/en/search-manscripts-collection-listing.aspx (enter Clonbrock in name box).   There are pre Famine rentals in this collection and also among items from Clonbrock that came to the National Library at an earlier date http://sources.nli.ie/ . The National Library has a list of independent researchers who would search for the Dooley family in the Clonbrock records for you for a fee http://www.nli.ie/en/services-commissioning-research.aspx

The volunteers in Fohenagh(Brendan) suggested you look at this link. It is the 1911 census for Doon Upper. It is in Fohenagh. It lists Parkers James aged 68 and wife Bridget 58 with their children.
