Hi, I am coming to Ireland for the first time in September 2020. I am hoping to find some information on the Caslin family of Roscommon.

My 3x great grandfather Patrick Caslin was born app 1795 in Roscommon. In 1814 he was tried and convicted of "rioting" and sentenced to life transportation to Australia. He spent some time in Kilmainham Goal before he was transported. His convict records state that he was from Roscommon and that he was a farm labourer. His religion is stated as Catholic.

I don't expect to find information on Patrick as this was in the distant past but I would be interested in finding any information on the Caslin family of Roscommon.

Thank you

Kerry Clark
