Hi
I'm looking for any information about my ancestor Patrick Connelly who was born in County Sligo approx. 1834-1837.
I have no idea where in Sligo he was from, but I believe his parents were James Connelly and Elizabeth Devine. He moved to Scotland in 1859 where he married Mary Ann Casey from Donnemana, Tyrone.

I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and the earliest baptismal record for a Patrick Connelly in Co. Sligo with father James was in 1850. Likely your Patrick was baptized in a parish which does not have records back to the mid-1830s.

The 1858 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Sligo shows twelve James Connelly/James Connolly records. Was Patrick's father still alive in 1858 and leasing land in Co. Sligo? If he was then maybe he is listed in the Griffiths? No way to tell unless you have other information.
