I have been to Rathcormac. I believe that Patrick Lee's headstone is in the church yard. An 1847 birthdate is a possiblility. Patrick's death certificate indicates 1852 biorth, but that is the same as his widow. !847 has come up on some other documents.

Are there any siblings in Labamologga Parish?

An 1880 US Census shows Patrick's age as 33, and his wife is 28. That confirms 1847 as his birth year, and his wife's as 1852. The census lists Ireland as his birthplace.  That census also show my grandfather, Daniel as 9 months old. I would like to find a ship's passenger list with Patrick listed, and maybe a little more about his home. Also any information on siblings.

The only birth confirmation that I find for Patrick Lee is February 1847. I thought for sure that Patrick Lee b. 12 March 1847 in Templemologa would be a match. Could you please search for Patrick Lee b. February 1847?

These are baptism dates so could be the day of birth, or a day, week month or more after birth

There were no siblings for the Labamologga Patrick

Many did not know their birthdates so took a guess; there were also illiteracy and transcription errors which may have made birth years inaccurate.

Best site for passenger records would be Ellis Island. There are quite a few Patrick Lee arrivals in the US before 1870 - I found a few but ran out of time

They are arrived on the Energy in 1865 aged 20

Thanks for your help. I'll follow up on those ships. I have done DNA testing. My yDNA is quite common in the north of Ireland, less common in the south. Without male siblings or paternal cousins, yDNA will be of little use.

I have been looking for a Natruliztion Certificate for a birthdate, but many have no birthdate given. Patrick married an American Citizen. He might not have needed a Natrulization Certificate.

The father of Patrick Lee b 1847 is listed as William Lee. Are there any records of his parents, or siblings?

I have my DNA results on Ancestry.com, LivingDNA.com, GEDmatch.com and others. I would like to find a DNA match with a Lee resident or descendant of Labbamolaga.

Hi Dan my 3rd great grandmother was Mary Lee. She married James Keane of Labbamalogga. The only details I have thus far are James' details. Born 1801 died 1881. I will try to find some more information about Mary Lee.
