​1837 ro 1864 Griffiths Valuation
1821, 1831, 1841and 1851 Only a few Census records Depending on name
​1901 and 1911 Census records, more chance of finding info.
​Irish Genealogy 1864 Births Death and Marriages.
All these are free.
​then the pay sites some more expensive than others.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am searching for my Great grest great Grandfather, Patrick Hourigan born circa 1802. His father , unconfirmed was John Hourigan . He lived in Dark Island but I believe he was born in Patrickswell. Any information that you are able to find would be greatly appreciated.

​I have searched the sites and the Church records are from 1806 plus.
​Who did Patrick marry?
​Did he stay in Ireland?
Any childrens names...........a big help.
Better to work backwards.

Patrick Hourigan son of John Hourigan and Jane(unknown )

Children: Timothy 24 Nov 1832; Michael 11 May 1834; John 24 Aug 1835;Honora 19 May 1837;Margaret 1 Apr 1839;Patrick 1841 died 1843 ; Jerimiah 30 Jul 1843 Patrick 31 Jan 1847. All children were baptised in Doon & Castletown.
He married Mary Kearney (date unknown). The Baptismal records show Patrick living in Dark Island at time.

Hi Margie, I see you have the Baptism Record for Jeremiah in 1843 in your tree.
Where did you get this?
​I have been searching Patrickswell and can't see it. The page set up is different to what I see.
​Let me know where you got it please.
​Up to now I can't anything on the family, sorry.

Hi Margot
All of the children were born in Dark Island and I have been able to find their Baptismal records in Doon records. I was told however that their father, Patrick was from Patrickswell (not confirmed )

Hi Margie,
​I have copied all this info. to a word doc.  I will be in Ireland in July, I have time to got to this area, before we book in to a hotel and see if I can find anything out for you.
​May be a headstone or something.
I can't find info on Patrick Hourigan, the Church records statrt  1808.
​Tithe only John Hourigan's in early Tithe records are too far away from Patrickwell.
