Hello to all,
I am trying to find out information about my 3x great grandfather (?) Phelan and his wife who lived in the townland of Derryduff circa 1810. I have the information on my 2x great grandfather, Patrick who married Mary Phelan in 1828 Camross Chapel, however, I was trying to go back another generation. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Jackie

Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
The records for Camross RC parish start in 1816 for baptisms and 1820 for marriages so there would be no information on a baptism for Patrick if he married in 1828.
I also looked at the 1828 Tithe listing for Offerlane civil parish. There were many Phelan (58) records but none for Derryduff or Derinduff.

Good morning Roger,
Thank you for your quick response to my inquiry. I guess this will be as far as I can go with the Phelan part of my family. Once again, your team has been of great assistance to me and I appreciate your dedication.
Respectfully,
Jackie

I am researching my 3x great grandmother Margaret Phelan. She married Martin Dillon in November 1826 at Camross. The witness was Lawrence Phelan. I do not have any of her baptismal information but I am wondering if she could have been a sibling of your ancestor.
