I am searching for information on my 2x great granfdfather, Richard O'Reilly, born about 1830 in Dublin.  When he married Maria McGuiness in 1854 in Victoria, Australia, Richard gave his age as 24 years, and he parents' names as Laurence O'Reilly (distiller) and Catherine Higgins.  Richard came to Australia as a young man, but the rest of his family remained in Ireland as far as I know.

I have not yet located Richard's baptism, but have information for the following children of Laurence O'Reilly and Catherine Higgins.

William bapt. 27 Apr 1834, St Catherine's RC Church, Meath Street, Dublin City.  This child must have died young as a subsequent child was also named William.

Elizabeth bapt. 20 Sep 1835, St Catherine's RC Church, Meath Street, Dublin City.  Anne Reilly is named as a sponsor - perhaps a relative?

Matilda bapt. 6 Aug 1841, St Pauls, Dublin City

Daniel bapt. 2 Sep 1844, St Pauls, Dublin City

William bapt. 19 Feb 1847, St Pauls, Dublin City. Richard Reilly named as a sponsor - perhaps his older brother or another relative?

Margaret Fullham is named as a sponsor at the baptism of Matilda, Daniel and William 2 - possibly a relative or close friend?

Richard is thought to have had another brother named Michael, but his baptism date is unknown.

Richard placed an notice in the newspaper in Melbourne shortly before his marrage, and gave his family's Dublin address as 34 Thomas Street, Dublin.

I welcome any additional information on Laurence O'Reilly and Catherine Higgins and their family.
