Is it possible that someone could provide the likely location of a church in which my great-grandfather were married by a Father Moore, P.P. on 24 Aug 1877 in Castlejordan? If so, I will be. Isn't appreciative.

The full name of the parish was 'Castlejordan & Ballybogan' or Ballinabrackey / Boughilnebracnay - there was one Chapel and this was located in Toor townland in the village of Ballinabrackey - see Historic OSI map there is still a church at the same location today, although appears to be a newer building - see Google Street View. In 1877 the Parish Priest is listed as Nicholas Moore.

This is wonderful detail. Thank you very much. I can more easily "connect" to this distant family history when I can root it in place as well as time. Many years ago, I was able to visit the very sanctuary in which my father was baptized in Kinnegad and where my great-grandfather take married in Thomastown. I will always treasure those experiences. Now, in some small albeit vicarious way I can visit another place. Dennis
