  • Hi

I am Therese Cunningham.  I am the new Parish Administrator for the Parish of Woodford. The following information may be of use.

There is a record of the death of a John Rowan in the townsland of Derryvunlan,Woodford in 1864.

There is a record of an Edward Rowan marrying a Mary Anne Fitzgerald in Loughrea circa 1840 and they had a daughter,Brigid. (Would this be the same Edmund Rowan born in Loughrea in 1820?)

Using the Google search engine,at the Griffiths Valuation site,I found three John Rowans, one in the townsland of Moneen and the other two (father and son I would say), in the townsland of Ballincurry in the civil parish of Ballynakill. There was no Woodford parish back then.  Griffiths Valuation was done circa 1860.

    Hope this is some help

    Regards

    Therese
