I am endeavouring to trace the Rush family from Lorrha. My third grandmother Bridget Rush born in Lorrha circa 1810 married Michael Dervan from Duniry. Bridget passed away in May 1885 , her husband Michael passed 1871. They were blessed with six children including my second Grandfather William who married Mary Anne Dervan from Ashmount Tynagh.
I was unsuccessful in my searches for birth and marriage records for Bridget and her extended family. Does anyone have any information of Bridget Rush – Dervan and her or extended family.
I have included a portrait of Bridget most likely commissioned in 1871 as she is donning her widows weeds. The portrait hangs proudly in the ancestral home of her daughter in law in ashmount. (Home of my Grandmother Bridget Dervan Darcy)

Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated. William was my second grandfather, bridget his sister. You are right Bridget passed away in Duniry. She lived in Duniry Cross.
I don't think the Galway Baptism is my Bridget. She was born earlier (1810) in Lorrha County Tipperary.
