My great grandmother was Maria (Marie?) Hayden Fitzpatrick (1849-1910). She married James Fitzpatrick in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, in 1865. She was born somewhere in Ireland. I am searching for any information about her family, but unfortunately, I do not know where she came from in Ireland. Here is what I do know. She had a brother Francis (1835-1904; born in Ireland) who married a Margaret Haley (1833-1930; born in New Brunswick, Canada); they had 5 sons and 2 daughters; Francis died in Gagetown, New Brunswick, Canada (his obit was in my family bible). Maria also had a sister, Anne Hayden (1832-1901; born in Ireland), who was married to a John DInsmore (1830-1918; born in Ireland). The Hayden parents were Francis and Maria (another DInsmore); they were both born in Ireland sometime around 1816-1818, and at some point, emigrated to the Gagetown area. Most of their family stayed in Gagetown or in towns withing a 50 miles radius. In short, I know a bit about the activities of this family once it arrived in Canada, but I don't know when they came or where in Ireland they came from. Any help would be greatly appreciated although I realize I am grasping at straws here (i.e., little to go on; very common name)

Jim,
--In 1833 a Francis Hayden lived in Moyglass townland in Co. Roscommon and was listed in the tithe applotment books:
I didn't see any other Francis Haydens listed, but this does not mean that the above is or is not your ancestor.
--At the time of Griffith’s Valuation (1840s-60s), there were five Francis Hayden’s listed as heads of household in Ireland:
