Bridget Lynch (1821 – 1897) born to Terence Lynch and Catherine Talty in Clare, Ireland.

Bridget was Roman Catholic and married (first) Peter O’Brien c.1838 Ennis, Co Clare believed to have had several children including Catherine O’Brien (my GG grandmother) born 1848 on Kilmichael/Kilmihil, Co Clare.

Also married (second) John Carmody c.1852 Ennis, Co Clare and migrated to Australia arriving 11 June, 1853 as passengers on the John Fielden accompanied by second husband John but only Catherine from her first marriage.

Purchased 23 acres in 1857 in the leafy suburb of Indooroopilly Brisbane where John and Bridget raised five children alongside Catherine O’Brien from her first marriage.  Died in 1897 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia having spent 44 years in Australia.

Searching for information about the marriage and assumed death first husband Peter O’Brien and what happened to any children.

Thanks in advance

I have searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and have failed to find any records for your family. It looks like the events took place right before records are available. For example, Ennis marriage records start in April 1837 and since I failed to find a record, I presume the Peter O'Brien/Bridget Lynch marriage occurred right before April 1837. Kilmihil baptismal records start in March 1849 and likely Catherine O'Brien and any other siblings were born and baptized right before March 1849.

The Bridget Lynch/O'Brien marriage to John Carmody is also puzzling because a record should be available but when I searched on two different sites, no record came up.

Here are the links to the parish registers for the two parishes in case you want to look for possible records.
