Hi there.

My grandparents John Keaveny and Hannah Flynn (Born 1895) were from Lacoon Glenfarne, in the parish of Cloonclare. John (DOB 1879-1950) had two unmarried brothers Thomas and Patrick. He also had 2 sisters Anne and Mary. My mother gave me a good history years ago, and said that both Anne and Mary went to USA when they were young. I cannot trace Anne at all. I tracked Mary to Boston where she died  in 1904 aged 35. Have you any suggestions that would help? Many thanks.

  • Hi, do you know their parents' names? I found an Anne Keaveny but want to check that it's the right one before doing some more research.

  • Hi Teresa

Thanks for your reply; Ann's parents would have been Theady Keaveny and her mother Ann Mc Dermott. (never sure if Ann is spelt with or without an e). They lived in Lacoon Glenfarne.

    kind regards

  • Hi,

I haven't been able to find anything about Anne in the civil registration records. I did find Thomas civil record, also his church record. Here is the link to Cloonclare's parish for 1866 to 1885 if you want to look for the family's baptisms.
