Hi Wendy I will try and help. I live in Sligo. The townland where the Kilgallens reside is called "Fallathurteen" - see https://www.townlands.ie/sligo/tireragh/skreen/toberpatrick-east/fallat…. It is in Tireragh in west Sligo. This townland is within the parish of Skreen and Dromard and for Census purposes is within the electoral division of Toberpatrick East. Here is the page from the National Census of 1901 - http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Sligo/Toberpatrick_Eas… - this townland is entirely populated by Kilgallens! Morgan Kilgallen, born in 1872, seems to come from House 2. Morgan died in 1880 so he is not living in 1901. You can also check the Toberpatrick East Census Returns for 1911. If there is anything else I can help you with let me know. Kind regards Tom

Mr. Kelly & Friends, Does anyone know of the family of Patrick Gannon, who left Sligo for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania around 1900-1930? He met my biological grandmother and had a child born in 1932. My grandmother returned to County Galway where she married. Patrick Gannon left Pittsburgh for the Chicago area, and seems to have died in 1979 with no other children. He apparently never married. I am interested in his Sligo roots, which are also my Sligo roots. Maybe some of the family remember Patrick (if he was anything like my dad he was quite a handsome Irishman).
