Greetings.
The standard resources aren't showing up much information about Thomas Barrett (born c.1785) and Bridget Carroll (born c. 1794) - so help would be appreciated.
In 1833, Thomas Barrett and Bridget Carroll migrated to Australia, apparently from County Limerick.
They brought 8 children with them: John (born c. 1812); Thomas (c. 1814); Eliza (c. 1816); Michael (c. 1818); Patrick (c. 1821); Catherine (c. 1823); Denis (c. 1829); and Bridget (c. 1832). Another daughter (Ellen) was born in Australia in 1835.
A marriage record for Thomas and Bridget has not been found. Of the eight children born in Ireland, a baptism record (Roman Catholic) has only been found for Denis Barrett, who was baptised in Bruff parish in February 1829, with the witnesses being Thomas Higgins and Sarah Welsh.
Thanks!

Willie:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The Bruff RC records go back to 1808 so unless the family moved around a lot, you would expect to find more baptismal records. https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0870 However, I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland (likely you did the same) and only located the record for Denis. I also did not locate a marriage record.
You may want to add the Barrett story to our XO Chronicles site and maybe someonw will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
Have you considered DNA testing?
