Looking for information about my great great grandfather Thomas Burgess. He was born in 1822. I don't have any other information about his life in Ireland. He immigrated to Canada during the potato famine.

Subscription Site www.rootsireland.ie has a number of "Thomas Burgess" having been baptised in various parts of Ireland.
There is a marriage recorded for Tullamore, Co. Offaly for a John Burgess and a Deborah Wilson in 1815.
A Thomas recorded for - Birth 1817 and baptism September 1st 1821. They were Anglican.
A Thomas Burgess recorded for December 3rd 1826 with parents Robert Burgess and Jane? Parish of Shinrone, Co. Offaly and a Robert Burgess August 9th 1829.
A Jane Burgess is recorded for the parish of Templeharry, Co. Offaly on January 1st 1821 - possible sister to Thomas.
She was also Anglican.

Hello McCoy,
Thank you for the information! Unfortunately I don't think that's him. I double checked the census he filled out when he immigrated to Ontario and he wrote he is was Catholic.
