Is anyone able to please help me find a marriage record for Thomas Jamieson and Ellen moore, their daughter Mary was born 1 January 1899 registered in Strabane but i can’t seem to find a marriage record for them? they are on the 1911 census and it says at that point they’ve been married for 22 years

1911 Census indicates they were married 22 years, had had 8 children of whom 7 were still alive. I can’t see a marriage though.

I did see that there’s a marriage in strabane for a Thomas Campbell and Ellen moore and all the details match up except for his surname? there’s no chance that that could possibly be a middle name or something and they’ve accidentally used that as his surname?

Yes I did see that marriage and the same thought went through my mind. Looking at the 1888 Campbell - Moore marriage I see the groom was from Grange. Also that the eldest Jameson child (Robert Stewart Jameson) was born there too in 1890. So I suspect it’s the same family, with the groom having changed his surname from Campbell to Jameson.
I also searched for children to the Campbell-Moore marriage but did not find any. (That could of course because they had left Ireland, but could also be because of a surname change).

The childrens names are Jameson on the censuses, so they look to be to the Jameson - Moore couple. But they may also be the Campbell - Moore couple if Thomas changed his surname for some reason.
