I obtained the death registration from GRO for Thomas Stewart, Cornawall, Co. Monaghan. (attached). He died Feb. 10, 1970. The informant was "William Stewart, Inmate, (Occupier deceased), Cornawall."

Q. What does "Inmate, occupier deceased" mean? I believe William Stewart was Thomas's son. Why does it not say son of deceased? Does this mean they were not related?

In the valuation revision books, William Stewart was the next occupier of this Lot in the townland.
